If you use Methylene Blue, please stop using it for at least 48 hours before collecting your urine sample.

Methylene Blue can cause urine to appear green or blue-green, which prevents the laboratory from processing the sample.

Before collecting your sample, please check the urine color:

Yellow / straw-colored: Sample can be collected and submitted.
Green / blue-green: Do not collect or submit the sample. The laboratory will reject it.

Please wait until your urine has returned to a normal yellow or straw color before collecting the sample.
